My friend and I are planning to run away for a day on the last day of school. We live in Phoenix, Arizona and can get as far as Mesa, and that's about it. Any ideas of where we can spend the day?

Why don't you see if you can get yourselves to Tempe and walk the ASU campus? It is beautiful and fun. Walk down Mills Street and find a fun place for lunch. Talk to some of the college kids.
