i often see comercials for the scottsdale culinery institute

The only one I know of is the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. http://www.chefs.edu/ My nephew graduated from there a couple years ago (Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts program) and since then, has had a great job making great money. They DO offer financial aid if needed, and versatile schedules and courses.

Hey! Phoenix College also has a really culinary program. I researched both and chose PC based on the faculty. Some fine chefs there. (602) 285-7765 http://www.dexknows.com/category_Cooking+Schools_Arizona_Phoenix-1.html

The weather, that's about it. It has a lot of violent crime thanks to all the immigrants from good old Mexico. I think 40% of all crime is by illegals.

Cardinals,Suns.Diamondbacks Great weather Great restaurants Great resorts Great parks Salt river tubing Hiking Etc.

Waiting to Exhale, Song of the South, The Gauntlet, Psycho, Raising Arizona, Jerry Maguire, The Prophecy, Used Cars, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (used as a stand-in for San Dimas, California), U Turn, Eight Legged Freaks, Private Lessons, Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie, Never Been Thawed, Just One of the Guys, Terminal Velocity, Taxi, and The Banger Sisters were all shot here. Several museums are scattered around the valley including the Phoenix Art Museum. One of the most well-known museums in the area is the Heard Museum just north of downtown. It has over 130,000 square feet (12,000 m²) of gallery, classroom and performance space. Some of the signature exhibits include a full Navajo hogan, the Mareen Allen Nichols Collection containing 260 pieces of contemporary jewelry, the Barry Goldwater Collection of 437 historic Hopi kachina dolls, and an exhibit on the 19th century boarding school experiences of Native Americans. The Heard Museum attracts about 250,000 visitors a year. We also have the Arizona Science Center, Fleischer Museum, Hall of Flame Firefighting Museum, Arizona Historical Society Museum, Phoenix Museum of History, the Phoenix Zoo, and the Pueblo Grande Museum and Cultural Park Old town Glendale also has interesting places, including a Bead museum and Mystic shops for anything with astrology, Tarot, Runes, Aura reading, etc etc etc. We have a HUGE gay pride festival that is an absolute ball to attend. Tempe is a fun University town with tons of things to do locally. As far as PHX (the "main" city) there's not too much. The most of this stuff is in the PHX metro area. We have a largely Hispanic demographic. At the 2007 U.S. Census estimates, the city's population was: 76.7% White (Including white mixed with others) 48.1% non-Hispanic-White alone 6.0% Black or African American 2.4% American Indian and Alaska Native 2.7% Asian 0.2% Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander 14.1% some other race 1.9% two or more races 41.5% Hispanic or Latino of any race

Are you trying to be a veterinarian, or just a veterinary assistant or technician? The only veterinary school in Arizona is the University of Arizona, which is in Tucson, not Phoenix. Kaplan College is a for-profit online school, definitely not a veterinary school. They do, however, offer online programs for veterinary technicians.

Best schools and neighborhoods in Arizona Phoenix area with good housing?
Best schools and neighborhoods in Arizona Phoenix area with good housing?
Thinking about moving from Southern California to Phoenix area - the want list is below - any wisdom is appreciated: 1.Good school district 2.Low crime/gangs 3.Good family housing (nice 4 bedroom home in the 250K range?) 4. Open Space (Parks, trails, etc.) I've received mixed signals about places like Surprise, Gilbert, Chandler, and Casa Grande. I heard Scottsdale is nice but housing is pricey. Thanks for your help!!!!

Come to Gilbert! Award winning schools, and the real estate market at the moment is a buyers market. there is a 4 bedroom in my area that is only 195k. Gilbert pretty much has everything you could want. Chandler is also nice if you are in the right spot, there is a lot of crime in some parts. You might not want to move to Casa Grande, its along way in to Phx from there. Good Luck!
2
Yes, Scottsdale is the pricey richy rich area. Peoria, North Glendale, Chandler and Gilbert are good communities with great schools.
3
TRY SURPRISE KINGSWOOD PARKE love it awesome community within minutes of store malls trails ponds no crime here maybe in other parts but none I know of we have cameras up no problem live on cold a sac awesome many people good people here we all are a family watch out for on another good luck and check us out awesome place

You should actually be in Scottsdale Az. Scottsdale has beautiful housing and the best school district in the state. Scottsdale isnt that pricey. 4 bedroom housing would probobly be around 300,000. Right off the 101 (its nawt a bad place right off the freeway) but i lived in that area for 6 years then we moved down to the paradise valley area which is also a good school district area. If you need anymore info you can email me!!!

List of greater Phoenix area Excelling schools: http://phoenix.about.com/library/blschoolsexcelling.htm List of greater Phoenix area Highly Performing schools: http://phoenix.about.com//library/blschoolshighperforming.htm Phoenix area home price analysis (Dec 06-Dec 07): http://phoenix.about.com/library/blhomepricesQ42007.htm My opinion: Look for housing near the types of businesses where you will likely work so your commute isn't horrendous. There are great schools in nearly all parts of metro Phoenix. Rule of thumb is the further out you live, the bigger the house you'll get for your money. Exception to that rule - Northeast. Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Carefree/Cavecreek = expensive. Paradise Valley is the most expensive area. I believe the median price there is $1 mil. If you don't want to live in an HOA, look for older, more established neighborhoods. Gilbert is probably one of the most popular suburbs in metro Phoenix, and probably has one of the highest foreclosure rates right now as well, creaitng a buyer's market. It's very suburban and very residential, but also very nice if that's the kind of life you want. You will probably have a longer commute living in Gilbert unless you are lucky enough to find a good job in that area. Anthem is a beautiful planned community north of Phoenix, but you will have a hefty commute living there. We have friends that live up there and it's gorgeous (and right now, houses are a steal, too), but I could never handle the commute. There are lots of nice areas in metro Phoenix. Good luck in your search!

the southside. no i'm joking. don't move there. if anything, it violates the 4 things you require. Scottsdale is expensive, surprise is nice, yet kind of empty.
